TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST – (6 MONTH ASSIGNMENT)

Minneapolis, MN

Required Experience

Five years of experience as a Business Systems/Technical or Functional Analyst.  Knowledge of all phases of software development.   A demonstrable track record of successful functional requirement writing.

Experience in health care or managed care.  Experience with Project Lifecycles.  Experience with ITIL and ITSM.

 

Position Description

This position is responsible to collaborate with business subject matter experts and/or business analysts to analyze business requirements and decompose them to create functional specifications for development.   Perform gap analysis and recommend potential solutions, fulfill the role of a subject matter expert in functional requirement elicitation, document functional requirements, create functional specifications and prepare wireframes/flowcharts as needed.  Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports will also be responsibilities of this role.  

·Analyze the existing systems and highlight areas of improvement.

·Analyze and decompose complex business requirements.

·Monitor industry related standards and requirements related to technology.

·Perform gap analysis and recommend technical solutions.

·Fulfill the role of a subject matter expert in functional requirement elicitation.

·Document functional requirements, create functional specifications and prepare wireframe/flowcharts as needed.

·Oversee the development of the product as per the specifications.

·Facilitate changes to functional requirements and specifications

·Assist in monitoring performance, discover variances and propose necessary actions per requirements.

·Validate the functionality of the end product according to the functional specifications.

·Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports.

·Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, functional requirements documentation, and presentations.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
